Bantam Faverolles are such gorgeous little bantam chickens. They come in a pretty Salmon colour with really soft plumage. They have fluffy beards which make them look like cuddly teddybears. They make excellent pets and are good for small back gardens, they lay up to 180 small creamy pink tinted eggs a year. See our pictures below.

Bantam Faverolles are incredibly sweet little birds, they have silky soft feathers and cute fluffy beard muffs making them look every bit as adorable as their characters are. They are very friendly chickens and have a pretty mottled plumage with fully feathered feet and five toes per foot.
Because of their gentleness Bantam Faverolles have become a popular breed of chicken to keep as pets, especially for children, they are happy to be handled once they know you and will enjoy lots of strokes and cuddles.
Bantam Faverolles are well adapted to live in both smaller gardens or for free ranging in larger spaces. They can be kept in back garden coops or large fields with open space to roam and chicken about! They are very clever little birds and will find their way home. They can also fly, although not very well, but still be cautious of low fenced enclosures as they may do a Houdini!
Large breed Faverolles were the primary breed, that produced eggs for the Paris market during the early part of the 20th Century. Originally from France first documented in the 1860s they were bred as a utility bird.
